Project Description
Students will learn a wide range of art mediums, including (but not limited to): acrylic paint on canvas, oil pastel, color pencils, and drawing techniques. Drawing inspiration from famous artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and MC Escher, students will also learn about different art styles including surrealism, impressionism and cubism. They will be encouraged to think outside the box to broaden their view of art and their own abilities. All artistic levels welcomed and encouraged! Students will also be taught proper preparation and care of art materials.
Costs: Long session 1:30 hr $300 Charters accepted ($285 self pay)
Shorter session 1:15 hr $280 Charters accepted ($265 self pay)
All materials fees included, except each student will be required to provide an 8.5”x11” (9”x12” is also ok) sketch book (minimum 100 pages), 36 count Prismacolor pencils, and a drawing pencil set (needs to include HB). (Optional, but highly recommended items: Prismacolor brand pencil sharpener, Pentel Hi-polymer Bock erasers, kneaded rubber eraser)
